Welcome to
Tough Guise Therapy

Tough Guise Therapy (TGT) is a private practice dedicated to mental health care for those who are BIPOC, queer, gender expansive, neurodivergent, from immigrant and/or lower or working-class economic backgrounds.
TGT's core values are rooted in compassion, collaboration, and curiosity. The guiding frameworks of care are somatic, relational, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed.
At TGT, all parts of you and your experiences are welcome. The “Tough Guise” pun is meant to playfully engage with the expectations we have for ourselves and the parts that are hidden. It’s a familiar experience for many in marginalized communities to develop various guises for the sake of survival.
If you choose to work with TGT, you will practice identifying those protective patterns and unlearning those that no longer serve you. Through practice, integration, and embodiment, we can (re)align with your values and your authentic self.
Prioritizing our own healing journey is essential in working toward collective liberation.
